ROLE OVERVIEW / SCOPE OF WORK:
We are inviting expressions of interest from Consultant Rheumatologists to join our expanding rheumatology service, by delivering specialist early inflammatory arthritis (EIA) clinics across Staffordshire.
As part of a dynamic and collaborative multi-disciplinary team, you will play a central role in the early detection, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting with symptoms suggestive of inflammatory arthritis. This is a vital opportunity to help shape and deliver high-quality, timely interventions that improve long-term outcomes for patients across the region.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- A Consultant with at least 12 months experience working within a substantive NHS post in Rheumatology.
- Registered with the GMC with an active licence to practice.
- On the Specialist Register and be able to provide current documents in accordance with clinical competence requirements.
- Strong interest and experience in early inflammatory arthritis, diagnostics, and evidence-based management
- Committed to collaborative, patient-centred care and continuous service improvement
- Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical documentation skills
- Have an interest in digital health, clinical informatics and in new ways of working.
- Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Possess excellent time management, planning, and prioritising skills.
- Be detail oriented, able to process detailed information effectively, consistently, and accurately.
